Uncarcerated podcast Season 3 "Dake" We took a hiatus...came back briefly...only to take another hiatus...so this is kinda Season 3? But the reason I included this in our pantheon is because we get a call in the middle of the show live from the Indiana Department of Corrections from "Dake"...This young man was sentenced to 10 years because of heroin addiction. This was a completely avoidable sentence and someone that would have benefited from therapy or rehab. Instead his was sent to a prison camp in Indiana where his addiction continued but this time bolstered by beatings and abuse. It's an eye-opening journey into the bowels of our corrupt carceral system.
